I haven’t read the DaVinci Code, nor will I be seeing the movie. I am really disappointed in Ron Howard and Tom Hanks for their roles in this.
When a movie is about something as important as Jesus, you have a real responsibility to get things right. There are people out there that are so impressionable and, unfortuately, put their faith in actors rather than the Word of God, so now they are going to be going around spouting the word of dan brown, as told by favorite actors ron howard and tom hanks.
I suppose I shouldn’t let that change the way I feel about those actors, but it does. It’s just sad.

I’m also really disappointed in Tom Hanks. Actors on his level have a lot of control over what movies they’re in, so the fact that he’s in this says that either he supports the movie’s message/storyline or he was looking for the certain success that it would have. Either way, not what I would have expected from one of my favorite actors.
i agree with you totally- not that Tom hanks or Ron Howard will ever know or care that I boycotted them…it is the basi principle of the thing. I have read in various and sundry places that both of these guys are Methodists. And in some places that they have no religion at all. Either way you slice it it is irresponsible. If the stupid movie were about Buddha- i would almost bet they would show every care and concern for all the Buddhists out there to make an accurate movie.
